The Best Foundation for Your Sensible Skin

The Best Foundation for Your Sensible Skin

There are many forms of foundation that can provide the best coverage for your skin. Choosing the best type would most probably be the best investment you will ever have.

Ultra Matte Foundation
Ultra matte foundation will be the best bet for women with very oily skin. This foundation is easy to blend and works well on humid days. But because of its versatility, many are heavy on the face. This could also dry fast so blending blush and eye make-up must be fast with the right technique.

Liquid-to-powder foundation
This is perhaps the easiest foundation to apply. It gives a smooth finish as well to women with normal to combination skin. The coverage ranges from sheer to medium coverage. Dry skin is not recommended to use this.

Sheer Foundation and Tinted Moisturizers
Sheer foundation is best used for as weekend makeup where sheer coverage is only utilized. Because of its sheerness, the right colour may not be easily determined but this is not a problem as well. To those who prefer a bit thicker kind of foundation, they may find it a too sheer. It offers little coverage so discolorations and dark capillaries are more prominent than other kinds of foundation.

There are foundations which makes your face shine. This type may have to be avoided by people with oily skin. People with dry skin can benefit from this for it makes their skin glowing, just be careful on the amount being applied for too much can accentuate wrinkles.

There are foundations now that can control oil production as well as provide moisture. On the other hand, there a woman can always have their foundation custom-blended for the near perfect match to your skin color and tone.

Newest Summer Fashions for Summer 2011

Summer is approaching quickly and it’s time to rid of those boring winter clothes and jump into something more fun…Summer clothes! Warmer weather will bring new summer fashions for the girls this year and there are many options to choose from. Some of the previous years’ summer fashions may still be in style, but starting off 2011 with some of the newest fashions, will brighten up our wardrobe.

Summer is Approaching Extremely Fast!

Summer dresses are a hot item for 2011. These dresses are casual, fun, flirty and comfortable to wear. You can wear summer dresses with cute sandals or add a country look by wearing boots. Summer dresses for 2011 range from the spaghetti strapped, knee length to the Halter style that ties around the neck and is longer in length. Summer colors to go for this year are: bright orange, bold greens, floral prints and lavender.

For a more flirty and romantic look for summer 2011, try wearing lace. Incorporating a white lacy mini dress or even a lacy tank top is a whole new look than that of the traditional tank or dress. Add some cute ankle socks and ankle boots to that lacy dress and you have your first newest 2011 summer outfit.

Another great 2011 summer fashion is, Sparkle! What is summer fashion without a bit of sparkle? Try a long, one shoulder, hip length summer top that has some added sparkle to it. This not only shouts summer, but a different approach when it comes to something new.

Summer fashion for 2011 doesn’t have to stop at just the clothes. When it comes to summer hair, ponytails are in. I’m not talking about just randomly pulling your hair back into a ponytail holder, I’m talking about teasing the hair at the top of the head, pulling it back gently and securing it with a glitzy ponytail holder or clip. For straight hair, this will give a sleek, chick and classy look to the traditional ponytail. Add any glitzy hair accessory to the ponytail to upscale the everyday ponytail.

Accessorize the Little Black Dress

It is hardly that women can become fashion victims whenever they wear the LBD. A fashion-forward woman knows that LBD or the little black dress is a wardrobe staple.

LBDs are timeless classics. Since it was designed by the great Coco Chanel in the 1920s, it has surpassed time with its sublime simplicity. There are many twists and turns in creating a woman’s signature dress in black. In the 1960s Audrey Hepburn gave women the classic LBD look where it was paired with a strand of pearls, a crown and an oversized pair of sunglasses. It has been more than forty years but this look can still make men turn their heads and women ogle.

If you are stuck in a rut, and don’t know how to make your own twist to the LBD, here are some inspirations:

Match it with bright tights

Update your LBD look by pairing it with tights that will make it pop out in a sea of black fabric.

Make your shoes stand out.

Pairing your LBD with a fabulous pair of shoes is a subtle way of pumping your style. Make it a statement. One way to do it is to wear outrageous shoes or colourful pair.

Wear it with a belt.

Remove the ho-hum from your outfit by outing a belt. It’s up to you, really. You can hve it skinny, or thick, studded or colourful.

Stop the traffic and be the light.
Put on long necklaces of different details. Mix and match different kinds of necklaces of different lengths. Bedazzle it.

Bangled.

Accessorize your LBD with bangles of different styles. Like the necklaces, the more eclectic it is, the better.

Headed.

Dry Hair and Scalp Treatment

Best Dry Hair and Scalp Treatment Tips

Who doesn’t want soft hair? Everybody does, right? Not everyone is gifted with that. Not everyone has healthy hair. We all want hair that is shiny and healthy but everyone can only be categorized into having oily, dry or normal hair. Each of these types has its pros and cons but nothing can be sadder than having dry hair as it is brittle, rough and frizzy. The hair is lifeless and limp. And talk about falling hair!

One of the reasons why hair is dry is due to the fact that it lacks the moisture it needs. When hair is damaged, the cuticle becomes dry and porous, leading it to retain water less.

The drying of the hair can be caused my many factors. These can be due to chemical damage. When we subject our hair to extensive chemical processes like dyeing, perming or bleaching, it can lose its shine.

Another cause of dry hair is the applying too much heat on hair. When we iron our hair, we apply heat that is too much to handle by our hair.

Dry hair can be a sign of an underlying illness or deficiency, like hypothyroidism and Menke’s syndrome, the inability of the body to absorb copper.

When you have dry hair, one of the dire side effects would be hair loss. You can avoid this by infrequent washings of hair. You don’t need to wash your hair every day. Shampoos and conditioners have harsh chemical that will ultimately damage your hair. Choose shampoos with low pH and proteins that will strengthen the hair.

Use products that have humectants. Humectants attract moisture so this keeps the hair moist. Protect your hair from heat. Thi means do not iron or curl your hair that often. When you go out, be sure to put something on to cover your head with some protective gear like a scarf or wide-brimmed hat.
